These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Shop Commander ("the Service"), a free auto shop management platform operated from Canada. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
Shop Commander is provided free of charge and on an "as-is" basis. We work hard to keep the platform reliable and useful, but we make no guarantees regarding uptime, accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose. The Service may contain bugs, errors, or interruptions — we fix them as fast as we can, but we cannot promise perfection.
We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. This includes adding or removing features, changing workflows, or updating the user interface. We'll do our best to communicate significant changes, but the nature of active software development means things evolve.
Shops own their data. Your customers, vehicles, repair orders, inspections, invoices, and all other information you enter into Shop Commander belongs to you. We do not claim ownership of your data. You can export your data at any time, and we will not hold it hostage if you decide to leave. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle and protect your data.

You use the Service at your own risk. We provide it for free because we believe shops deserve better tools — but "free" does not mean "guaranteed."
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, our Acceptable Use Policy, or any applicable law. We'll make reasonable efforts to notify you before termination, except in cases of egregious violations. If your account is terminated, you may request an export of your data within 30 days.
Shop Commander integrates with third-party services including OpenAI (for AI-powered features) and Twilio (for SMS messaging). We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of these third-party services beyond exercising reasonable care in our integrations. Your use of features powered by third-party services is also subject to those providers' terms of service.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada.
You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account and use Shop Commander. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older.
Your use of Shop Commander is subject to our Acceptable Use Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Violations of the Acceptable Use Policy constitute a violation of these Terms.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
