Tire Storage
Track customer-owned seasonal tire sets held in custody, their locations, condition/history, and changeover workflow.
Tire Storage is customer custody. Tire Inventory is shop-owned merchandise. They are intentionally separate domains.

What belongs in Tire Storage
Create a storage set for a specific customer and vehicle when the shop physically holds that customer’s seasonal tires/wheels. Record the current set description, tire size text/preview, storage location/bin, condition/tread evidence supported by the current form, check-in date, and applicable changeover context.
The custody record has its own identity and lifecycle. It does not create an inventory SKU, on-hand balance, reservation, purchase order, receipt, return-to-vendor record, or sell price.
Check in, locate, schedule, and release
Use the current controls to check a set into custody, maintain its explicit location, associate a scheduled changeover where applicable, and check/release it out to the customer or vehicle. History preserves movements and relevant evidence instead of overwriting the old location/state silently.
Reconcile exceptions
Duplicate active sets, bin collisions, stale scheduled swaps, capacity issues, or contradictory custody facts appear in Custody Exceptions. Resolve the underlying records or use an authorized reasoned override; do not clear the queue by treating customer property as stock.
For merchandise the shop owns or can source, use Inventory → Tire Inventory.
