Tire Storage

If you store customer tires, you know the two failure modes: tires you can't find, and customers who never come back to swap them. Tire Storage fixes both — every set gets a numbered record, a printed label, and automatic reminders that bring the customer back in.

Checking tires in

Click Check In Tires and record the set: customer, vehicle, brand, size, type (winter, summer, all-season), quantity, and whether wheels are included. Each set gets an auto-numbered TS label (TS-0001, TS-0002...) and a storage location, plus an optional set label like "Winter Set." Add condition notes and photos straight from a tablet camera, and set the expected swap date.

Record tread depth at all four corners — LF, RF, LR, RR. The set's record shows a visual tire diagram color-coded by health: green above 6 mm, yellow between 3 and 6 mm, red below 3 mm. When a customer asks whether their winter tires have another season in them, you answer with numbers.

Use Print Label on any record to print a storage tag with a QR code, tread depths, and set details — stick it on the stack and finding tires stops being a scavenger hunt.

The three tabs

• In Storage — every active set. Search by customer, vehicle, tire brand, size, location, set label, or TS number. Sort any column. Click a record to open the detail panel, where you can move it to a new location, Mark Installed, or Mark Picked Up.
• Upcoming Swaps — sets due for changeover. Hit Remind to text the customer, or Schedule to book the tire changeover appointment right there — a mini day timeline shows existing appointments so you pick an open slot. Already-booked sets show a View Appt link.
• History — sets that were picked up or removed, so past storage is never a mystery.

Working the season

When changeover season hits, click Print Pull List on the Upcoming Swaps tab. You get a print-ready list sorted by storage location — one efficient walk through the warehouse instead of fifty trips.

Shop Commander also does the chasing for you: customers with stored tires get automatic seasonal SMS reminders, a nudge two weeks before their expected swap date, and a heads-up when their stored set's tread is getting low — with a replacement recommendation attached. Stored tires become booked appointments without your front counter making a single call.
