Employees
Add and maintain employee identities, invitations, role templates, active status, and links to their actual Access Control.
The current employee workspace lives in Settings → Employees. The legacy /users route redirects to Settings. Each person should have their own identity so assignment, work, decisions, corrections, and audit history remain attributable.
Add an employee
Open Settings → Employees and add the person’s actual name, email, and appropriate role template. The employee accepts an invitation and chooses their own password. Do not create shared shop-floor accounts.
Choose a role template
Current standard business roles are Owner, Administrator, Manager, Service Advisor, Technician, and Apprentice. Parts-focused or other shop structures can use a suitable current/custom role through Access Control.
A role label is a starting composition, not final authority. Effective permissions, overrides, scopes, feature availability, and record state still control access and actions.
Deactivate rather than erase history
When someone leaves, follow the current deactivate/archive path. Prior repair-order, timer, attendance, authorization, payment, inventory, and access history remains attributable while the person loses current sign-in/access.
